Shibori Dragon Crazy Quilters

Our monthly Crazy Quilters group meets the first Friday of each month.  Bring your project, ideas, show and tell, and a smile.  We provide the refreshments.    Teresa White will be on hand if you need help with any projects and each month she’ll show you something new – an embroidery stitch, an embellishment technique, how to transfer a design to embroider, maybe even a silk flower or two. 
This is an informal get together – (and it’s free!) We hope you can join us for the fun.

 We have both a morning and afternoon group which meet  the first Friday of each month from

 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. OR  1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

I'm so excited about starting the 2009 Piecemaker's Calendar Crazy Quilt project.  We have more
calendars in stock for those of you who missed out on the first shipment.

We will be starting the first block at the first Friday meeting, December 5, 2008
We will be working on the January block from the calendar.
 I have chosen the winged bug for our first project.

For the First Friday, January group you will be working on the February block and
need to bring the following:

Your quilt block or 7" fabric square.
Silk Ribbon Embroidery Needles
4mm Grey silk ribbon ( light and medium )
Seed Beads (Silver Lined)
Beading Needle and Nymo Thread
White or Light Grey embroidery floss
7/16 silk ribbon in the color of your choice, sewing thread to match, sewing needle.
Scissors, blue pen or chalk pencil.
 

For the Second Saturday group, you will be working on the January block.

Please bring the following in addition to the 2009 Piecemaker's Calendar

Your quilt block or 7" fabric square
Beading needle and thread
Embroidery needle and 5" embroidery hoop
3 crystal beads - Size 4 mm
Silver metallic thread
Grey Floss - Light, Medium and Dark
Scissors. Blue Marking pen or chalk pencil.
Tracing paper

Piecemakers 2009 Calendar is a departure from the traditional colorful crazy patch quilt.  A complete pattern book is included with full-size patterns and directions for the quilt blocks, plus instructions for applique, piecing, embroidery, beading and quilt construction.

Choose from the Black, Red and Grey color scheme shown above or create your own in your favorite colorway.

Please also remember to park in the back parking lot. 
The shop has limited parking space out front and we must share the space with the other tenants.
